Gary Hull is a Wrights Bush farmer-come-chef, who enjoys cooking with locally and sustainably sourced goods.

After graduating from the SIT in 2012 with certificate of hospitality Gary was investigating the demand for rural dining when his house caught fire. It was a total loss. Initially devastated… after time Gary saw the silver lining and decided his rebuilt home should serve as a bespoke dining- function venue for family, friends, social groups, work colleagues or tourists.

Because his philosophy is to provide a unique experience for each customers, there are no fixed menus or price list. Gary discusses the food preferences of individual customers prior to booking, then designs a menu around them.

“I like to cook with produce that is locally produced / as seasonal as possible, cooking everything from scratch – although leaving some products to the local artisan experts likes cheeses, breads etc.”

He will even cook your own game.

While the house is new, Paddock 186 is set in established grounds, so as well as indoor dining, there are plenty of Al Fresco options with an outdoor pizza oven and a spit roast and barbecue facilities in the purpose-built rustic barn adding to the catering options.
